This book is for each and every fat kid who has been bullied, felt unheard, slammed into a locker, cried in the dressing room and bee told he or she is not good enough and they’ve got no self control or self worth because of how they look. I was that fat kid. And though many years have passed and I’ve lost some weight on my own terms in my own way and for my own reasons every time I look in the mirror I am still that fat kid. I had no role models, no one telling me I am okay just as I am, that my body isn’t shameful.
