I really wasn't the fat girl in school. I was on the big side, but I played hard, rode my bike everywhere and didn't eat as much people claimed. My body hung on to each pound with tenacious claws. My classmates didn't make fun of me at school. Several of the girls were my size or a little bigger. It was my mother who kept after me to loose weight.
