Starfish looks like a sweet novel, one that features a very human girl, and all the complications that come with growing up. The novel appears to be in prose, which I know isn't a thing for everyone (personally, I don't mind it - unless I'm surprised with it). I think it works here though, as it really does seem to enhance Ellie's story.
