I love the cover of the book, very eye catching! This book is reminiscent of some favorites by Meg Cabot and Jennifer Weiner-- vibes of an awkward teenage narrator struggling to accept themselves plus body positivity. Being written in free verse makes it unique, as do the interludes that are just observations about the narrator's life (I loved the one about her dog eating). I hope that the narrator's family is rounded out more as characters as the book progresses-- the depiction of their family dynamic was rather flat.
