Like our main character, I too was forever reminded of my horrible mistake of swimwear to our cities public pool. Ellie’s was a whale suit, mine was a hippo suit.. The synopsis of this book puts an experience of what it’s like to be of the heavier side of the population and how the struggle of body image and confidence can weigh on a person. I love that the character has created a space where she feels safe, and I’m so excited to read how this journey goes.
