I have been hearing about this book for a few months, and cannot WAIT for it to be released, especially now that I've read the first 40 pages. There is so much packed into the sparse words of each free verse poem, but I already feel like I know Ellie and Catalina. The author's message at the beginning of the book gave me goosebumps, as it is so important for kids (and adults) to know that they matter for exactly who they are, not who they could be. This is sure to be one of the books that I promote during middle grade book talks.
