First, I love the novel-in-verse format. It makes for an easy read, and flows so quickly but nothing is lost. Second, I love Ellie, a likeable, relatable, sixth grade girl trying to fit in with her family and in school. I am intrigued to find out what happens next and how she does during a new school year. I loved this..."As I float, I spread out my arms and my legs. I'm a starfish, taking up all the room I want." Great book so far, I look forward to reading more!
