From the bold, colorful cover of Ellie floating in the pool feeling "weightless, limitless" to the flowing words on the pages, I was completely absorbed in this story of a young girl very much aware of her body image. The water is both friend and enemy. For while it washes away the "stink" of the day, it also reveals her weight by way of the unforgiving swimsuit. The hope of a new friendship with Catalina only causes me to want to read more and see Ellie have a happy ending.
