I held off on reading the preview of this book for days. To be honest, I thought it could not adequately articulate how I felt growing up but BOY WAS I WRONG. In just a few pages, Lisa Fipps is able to expose everything about preteen fat shaming. The main character El is so relatable, specifically when checking her shadows in the grass. I remember doing that myself.
This book is deeper than I ever thought it could be. Everyone should read this and use it to teach the next generation about fat shaming.
