I really, really love sci-fi in general, so I was so excited to get a copy of Star Splitter by Matthew Kirby! And I have ti say, it absolutely lived up to my expectations. I was hooked from the first chapter, and it kept getting better from there. It honestly kind of reminds me of The Expanse series by James S.A. Corey. It is thought-provoking, stunningly raw and realistic, and well-planned. Not to mentionthe over-arching mystery and danger that kept me turning page after page, long after I toled myself 'just one more chapter tonight'. I could easily imagine the world described, and the characters were incredibly written as well. I hesitate to give books five stars usually, but this book absolutely deserves all five stars. One of the best books I've read this year, and my gut tells me that this is going to be a hit sci-fi novel in the coming years!
