Overall this was a fun sci-fi, but I had a few problems with it that made it super confusing. I think the synopsis could have done a better job explaining the world. I got confused a few chapters in on there being two Jessica's and if we were split in time, but that wasn't the case. In this world people can be copied and then transferred someplace, their old copies destroyed. But this stays as a backup in case they die, they can get a new copy they just won't remember anything from the old one. Something bad happens in space and Jessica prints a second copy of herself. The copy plot line also made it so that I really did not care about death at all in this book since it had no lasting effect. It made the stakes feel a lot lower. I also wish we had gone more into the boy more too. I did like the queer representation in this book though and would like to see more sci-fi.
