I really wanted to love Star Splitter. From the summary and first impression, I was drawn in and thought it had a really promising premise. I have also recently gotten into stories that have futuristic/space settings, so I had high expectations for this particular novel before diving in. Unfortunately, it was not everything I had hoped it would be and it fell a bit short. It was still a mostly interesting read that kept me engaged enough to keep reading and ultimately finish, but it did not have the same appeal as some other books in the same genre. The main characters were just "okay", along with the overall story. I give Star Splitter a solid three star rating overall. I liked it enough, but certainly did not love it like I was hoping! All in all, decent book but did not quite meet my expectations ultimately. I wouldn't sway others from trying it though!
