Jessica was supposed to meet her parents at the space station, DS Theseus, so they can all prepare to head to the planet together. Her parents have been gone for 6 years to study a volcano and what has survived. When she wakes, she finds no liaison was there to greet her. Instead, she finds carnage and wreckage of what appears to be parts of the station. She discovers she's on the planet, and is left wondering if she's alone. She's left wondering what happened.

The book is told in 2 short timelines of before and after. You get 2 different POV of what happens on the station and on the planet.

I really enjoyed the book and thought it's very well written. The scifi aspect isn't too technical and I liked the idea of how people traveled in their story. You get scanned and then "printed" so you're exactly the same elsewhere, with the same memories. So, what could go wrong? The mystery surrounding what happened on the station drew me in and I didn't want to put the book down. I definitely recommend.
