I'm honestly mad at this one. It was amazing, and I couldn't put it down, but.... It's like the author wanted this to be a certain number of pages, and slapped on a quick ending because he had no room left. Extremely abrupt, almost like an afterthought. Very disappointing. I'll give 3 stars because of most of the book, but it would have been 5 stars without the last minute ending. I'm not sure why the ending was so abrupt, but it did spoil the whole experience just a bit. The writing and character building was compelling and deeply detailed. It was a thrilling, fun, and quick read. Regardless of the slapdash nature of the ending, I would highly recommend this book for fans of science fiction, horror, time travel, young adult fiction, mystery, thrillers, and romance. It's definitely something I want in my collection, regardless of how it ended.
