Right off the bat — I love the cover and title. The summary is straight forward and is clear about what genre I’d expect this to be. It is an eye catcher especially for adult readers, sci-fi readers, etc. As for the summary + first read excerpt, I was interested from the get go even thought it’s not at all my usual genre. I think the author has a lot of experience and it’s clear in the writing style.
