I'm not typically a sci-fi reader, but this YA sci-fi story is off to a good start. This is not the typical adventure/quest plot as the main characters are Jess and her clone. I appreciate that, despite some of the futuristic and fantastical details (e.g., teleportation/3D printing a human, new planet that seems habitable, etc.), it was easy to suspend disbelief and dive into the story. The first impression is largely context and background so now that the stage is set, I'm curious to see what happens.
