I like the main character, Jessica! She's young, smart, and fearless (at least on the outside). Right away I feel like I get her and I'm mad at her parents right alongside her. What were they thinking leaving her with her grandparents for six years and then sending her lightyears through the universe all by herself??
Chapter two already starts with the mystery and twists. I love science fiction, time travel, and mystery, so this sci-fi mystery is hitting two of my big three in just one story. I can't wait to read more!
The cover is intriguing and makes me curious about how it might relate to the story. It definitely gives off an otherworldly vibe. And the divide between the two figures really fits with the "splitter" image in the title "Star Splitter".
