My first impression of Star Splitter is that I really liked the cover. I think it's perfect for a science fiction book about space.
The blurb is interesting and makes me wonder what happened, who survived/survives and why it happened.
I'm not really a science fiction reader but this book sounds full of adventure and intrigue.
