Let there be atom splitting and clones!
I was only 10 pages in before I decided that I had to read the rest of this book. It usually takes me a good deal longer to decide if I love a story or not, but thankfully I already know. Unfortunately I have to wait to get my hands on a finished copy.
From the first line, the epitaph: "For those who ask what might have been" I was intrigued. Follow that with a Robert Frost poem? Yes. Chase both with the description of transportation that follows and I was in love. Why? Because it make sense that in order for one body to be in two places almost simultaneously one has to be created and the other destroyed.
I love the way the author chose to introduce us to this world - by walking us through the experience of one young girl who is just so ~over it~ and resigned to her fate, and the reactions that Jim has in response to her. Add in the space, the future, the drama of it all?
I need this please.
Thanks.
Also, I like the cover. It's simple but hints at more.
