Admittedly, I am not a big fan of sci-fi. That being said, this first look really did captivate and interest me. The reader is thrown into a creepy setting where Jessica is isolated on a planet and initially has no recollection of how she got there. It's cool that the author decided to alternate between 'before' and 'after', slowly letting the reader know more about the main character.
