Right off the bat - the cover was definitely feeling a little more self-published than traditionally published to me. Not to say that one or the other is inherently better, but I just expected a level of cohesion from Penguin Teen that I don't feel in this cover. I think it's just the font!!!
The synopsis is genuinely just confusing me - I don't know if I'm just out of it because of seasonal depression or what lol. I would have liked to see the characters on the cover to give me a little more of the vibe?
