When I read the summary of this book, I was super intrigued by the world and couldn't wait to dig into the first impression pages.
I loved the opening scene and seeing the interaction with Aina and her mother --it made me want to know more about this world governed by Toranic Law.
And my heart hurt for Aina when she ascended and just wanted to get back to her mother. She's got a lot of spunk as a character and I can't wait to see what happens when she joins the rebel group.
