This first impression is so good!! The storyline is original and gripping. I loved reading the twists and turns just from the first few chapters! The characters are well written and I love the FMC’s humor and vibe. I love the idea of the living gates to upper and lower worlds used to represent when one would normally go in an after life. The corruption of even the most pious of people is remarkable and I can’t wait to see how this author portrays that. Also, I am a huge fan of maps and artwork in a book and this map is one of the most beautiful and detailed I have seen! It really starts the book on a good start and draws me deeper into the story.
