I can't rave enough about this book. The story line is heartbreaking - abuse is always something to read. But, the author did the topic justice and the characters portrayed what would really happen between friends, family, coworkers etc. Individuals blame themselves: if only I looked better, if only I picked up the phone quicker, if only I hadn't walked next to that guy then he wouldn't be mad at me and hit me. It's a tough situation and I can only imagine how tough it is at such a young age when you really don't think you can turn to anyone for help.
The emotions are raw, they are full of rage and the unknown. I can't speak highly enough in praise of this book and urge everyone to pick up a copy.
