I have never experienced the abuse and trauma Savannah had with her mother and boyfriend so I was horrified. The book skipped from past to future mixing characters points of view and so I had cheat and open the book towards the end skipping a few chapters to see if she woke up!
I went from liking Tristan to wondering what happened to him to make him so cruel?! And why was Savannah keeping so quiet about it all? I really wanted to blame Tristan's dad and Savannah's mom for what happened because they are bad parents who shouldn't be parenting. I also think the school is to blame since they allowed very public PDA and drama.
This is even more apparent when the school allows the kids to make ballerina memorials and talk about Savannah as if she is already dead. How do you save silver spoon boys like Tristan and broken girls like Savannah? Because I was so sure when she woke up the she would go right back to him and keep hiding it all from everyone.
