I was immediately drawn to this book because of the cover; then once I read the excerpt, I knew I had to have this book. Thank you to BookishFirst for providing me the opportunity to own this ARC.
This book for me was so emotionally moving that I found myself multiple times just in absolute AGONY over what Sparrow was dealing with. The abuse she endured - emotional, mental, verbal and physical - throughout the book was absolutely horrific, but one that way too many people are familiar with. There were so many triggers throughout this book that I could where see many people may not even be able to make it through this book - I sure struggled, but the story was incredible, so I continued through.
Although I found the book difficult to read because of the content, it was so beautifully written and produced that the story kept me coming back for more.
I have recommended this book highly to a number of friends of mine and I can't wait to be able to read it again.
