I added this to my TBR awhile back--before the cover was revealed and when the synopsis was only a brief sentence--so I was excited to see this book featured on the site. The excerpt is short, only the first chapter. I wish it were a longer sample, but it does a fantastic job of introducing the MC. It has more of a fun vibe to the beginning, but I know that this book will get darker as the book progresses and will discuss some very important topics. The excerpt was too short for me to feel fully invested in the story, but I definitely want to read more.
