So a girl running late for dance class gets asked out by the guy that almost ran her over, OK, but there's nothing yet to make me care about the main character. Also there were things that didn't make sense. She was talking an awful lot for women running as fast as she could, and doesn't her dance bag have a zipper? Why did everything fly out of it?
