First of all - wow, I LOVE the cover! It completely arrested my attention, the stark black and white picture with the complementing pink title. In person, in hardcover, it would be amazing. I have always had a soft spot for ballet - books, movies - so this right away caught my attention.
Some of the descriptions are outstanding in the book. For example: "He laughs, and the sound is low and sweet, like soft notes rising from a cello." Exactly what I'd imagine from someone who lives and breathes to classical music while dancing. However, those descriptions sometimes seem out of place, because other times the writing seems like a normal teenage hormonal girl, or even written by one. But it's not bad, just average. However, I am still very intrigued and definitely want to know what happens. Ahhhh I want more!
