This book sounds like everything I enjoy about YA fiction. The ability to explore key themes (even adult ones like abuse as intimated by this book) through the lens of young characters where emotions and development are so real and raw. I love that the main character is an aspiring ballerina as well with extreme pressures that come with that particular career path. Additionally, she's lost her mother at such a young age. Put that recipe together and sounds like a book that ratcheted up to the top of my YA reading list!
