This is the first book I've read by Julie C. Dao, and I will definitely read her previous books. The author's beautiful, descriptive writing puts the reader in the story, seeing the places, feeling the characters, and overall being a part of the story. I love Lan and Bao, and their tender, fairy tale like journey to finding themselves and each other.
