This book was genuinely okay. It didn’t blow my mind or anything, and I didn’t love it as much as I was hoping and thought that I would. To be completely honest, I’m kind of struggling with the fantasy genre as a whole. I often find myself just craving romances ALL THE TIME!
This book was okay. The only thing that I really liked, and felt some sort of connections with were the main characters. Now as this is generally always the case with fantasies, I just feel like I tend to enjoy the plot more than I enjoyed the plot in this one. I was just finding myself to be confused all the time, and since I didn’t want to waste more time to go back and reread things, most of this book I just spent being confused, which was not pleasant.
