First off, the cover art is just beautiful. Being Vietnamese myself, I was very interested in the story. The names and terms immediately recognizable - and I am so happy for other people to read it and be immersed to it too. It read so beautifully and I am so glad its being told in this era of time with all the mythological stories that even my own mother and grandmother have told me about. Dao's beautiful writing style really set me in this story and I felt like I was there in the moment and feeling how Bao felt for Lan. After reading about about his passionate unrequited love for her, I am eager to read more about what would happen next and how she ultimately will ask for his forgiveness.
