Magic and fantasy aren't usually my cup of tea when choosing my next book to read, but after reading this First Look....this one has really piqued my interest! From the colorful cast of characters (which I really appreciated being included at the beginning), to the beautiful cover and page art, I knew I would like this one before I even started reading. The descriptive language in the first paragraph alone was really something that captivated my interest, and then held it on into the following paragraphs. I can't wait to read all about Lan, Tam, Bao, and the rest of the gang!
