This seems like a very promising beginning to Song of the Crimson Flower! The cover is absolutely gorgeous and seems to pair with the Asian-inspired culture perfectly! The first few chapters already create romantic vibes, and I can't wait for more. The lovely writing and Asian culture jumped out at me right away. The river market, food, and clothing all contribute wonderful details to the story. Add in a mysterious illness that causes people to bleed out from the inside, plus a poor apprentice in love with a rich young lady who initially finds him boring, and I'm hooked! I can't wait to see how Bao and Lan's love story will unfold!
