I love how it is a retelling of one of my favorite books ever . The original book is a classic. I’m interested in this retelling for many reasons !! One reason is the characters are black! They can maybe offer a different point of view what it was like in that time period even if it’s fictional ! The second reason is because I want to see what elements are kept and what elements are changed ! Another reason is I want to see if it contributed to break my heart and make me smile ! The cover looks gorgeous and I’m already picturing the characters doing things in the book !!
