I have always been a fan of historical fiction, but the idea of remaking Little Women into a black woman's story during the American Civil War is just so intriguing and exciting to me. As a woman who is married to a black man, and will have mixed children, I think it is so important to have more and more stories that can represent people of color and not always with the same narrative of poor black girl or boy. I cannot wait to read this and look forward to sharing with my book club:)
