The story is an interesting concept, though I always worry about "re-tellings" of classic stories. And this one seems to push the boundaries even further with the rather bizarre character traits assigned to the characters. Why is Amy a dancer?? She was all set up as a painter in the original. Why change it? That makes me kind of nervous for the book. I also don't like the cover. Real people are A CHOICE, and often not a good one. Some classy cover art might have done better to get this one moving off shelves.
