So Many Beginnings feels like a comfortable pair of pants that I forgot about, but upon finding them again, I feel relaxed and free. Little Women has always been in my mind since my mother read it to me as a child. This isn't that same story, but it seems so dang close that I feel relieved. The writing style seems fresh and clear and the history that we glimpse of where we are (in a freed people colony) makes me eager to read more.
