I loved reading Little Women when I was in fourth grade so when I heard that a new retelling/ remix is coming out, I know I had to add it to my TBR list right away! I love this idea of taking traditional classic stories and retelling them with People of Color in the main roles. After eating the first 20 pages, I know that I definitely want to read this book. It's so interesting to be taken to a world in the past which black people can have whatever jobs they want and get married to whoever they want, while also confronting racism in America. I find this plot so interesting, and I'm sure that I will also learn a lot about empathy and the experiences of black people in America today through this book.
