Skyjack by K.J. Howe is a thrill ride from the first page. This my first time reading a novel by K.J. Howe and how could I have missed this fantastic writer. Skyjack is action paced, page turning, character growing novel. Thea Paris, an international kidnap and negotiating expect is uniting two young brothers from an orphanage in Kanzi, Africa to adoptive parents in London, England. However, the plane is high jacked, forced to land on a deserted airstrip in the Libyan desert. Thea's former nemesis charges her to make a decision that he knows that Thea does not want to make. Thea has to locate a jeep carrying refugees and make it to the jeep within a certain amount of time, or she will never see the hostages or the two boys ever again.
As Thea, Rit, and the Quantum team race to find the jeep, they soon discover that there is something darker and deadlier involved. Mix in a young man Johann learns not all is all that it appears to be in his own life. Johann knows that he should just accept what his father is doing, but he can't and won't. What his father is planning is cruel, inhumane, and evil. However, when you try to elude a very rich, powerful, such as his father, Johann has to. Over hearing a conversation between his father and one of his father's members, Johann learns of someone that he can trust and confide in.
I loved, loved this book by K.J. Howe, and will have to look out for your next Thea Paris novel. Parts of the book pulled at me, loved the pace of the novel, kept me on the edge of my seat, and felt as if I was right along side of the characters.
I received this book thru Bookish and thank you Bookish for a fantastic find.
