Skyjack is a nonstop thriller. I was intrigued by the first look but blown away by the novel. Thea Paris is a kick ass heroine of the first order. Her job as an international kidnap and ransom expert was initially intriguing but once you get to the meat of the novel she has so many more layers. She is terrified of flying (I so identify with that) but is escorting two former child soldiers, who were orphaned, to their new family/home in England when they are skyjacked. Her resourcefulness is impressive but more so is the loving loyalty she receives from her two charges. She is a take charge woman who can handle an array of weapons and dangerous situations but has serious concerns regarding her strained and distant relationship with her father. The is the second novel featuring Thea Paris and while I don't think it was necessary to read the first to enjoy this book I will be making every effort to read the first. Hopefully K J Howe has more Thea Paris books in the works.
