Main character Thea Paris is a kidnap and ransom negotiator with effective fighting skills. I couldn't get enough of the scenes where Thea was kicking butt and taking names.

Thea is on a flight where she is transporting two former child soldiers to their adoptive parents. The plane is hijacked over Libya, and Thea is forced to watch the plane fly away without her, along with her two charges still on the plane. Thea works with her company, Quantum, to rescue the plane but also to deliver actions dictated to Thea by a mobster she has previously had to fight.

If that is not enough action, Thea's father is compromised in her eyes because of prior lies. Then added to the mix, is a father-son duo in Europe where the father is involved in a secret society that is going to deploy a plague like illness that affects only those of Arab descent while at the same time his son is attracted to a Muslim student.

There are a lot of action items that get ticked in this thriller of a book. I like a fast moving book but did find the point of view shifts to muddle the narrative at times. It was worth my time to figure out any points where I had lost my way, and I'm thrilled to have found a new author to follow.

More Thea Paris please!
