This was such a wonderful book, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The whole concept of the time travel where Maria finds herself back in time at the age of seventeen was very interesting.
The characters are very deep and complex. Adlakha did a wonderful job in her vivid descriptions, and I felt like I truly knew the characters as I was reading. Learning how they were all connected to the overall story was an extremely intriguing aspect of the novel.
Everything about the novel is extremely though-provoking and makes you wonder what kind of choices you would make if you were in the same position as Maria. It was interesting to see the choices that Maria made given her situation and how we learned more about what she valued most. I was also pleased with the ending and happy that that things concluded well.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone and am thankful that I was able to read it early through BookishFirst!
