What If You Could Change Your Past But Ensure Your Future?

I think everyone has wondered what they would do differently if they could revisit a particular time/place from their past. Would you make a different choice, take a different path, or would you do everything the same to ensure you maintain your happy future? This is the question that ran across my mind after reading the synopsis of this book...after reading the first couple chapters, I am eager to see what choices Maria makes and if her choices from her past change the happiness of her future.
