The first chapter of this book did not really grab me. It was a good modern family scenario. Then, chapter 2! Maria is such a reasonable, pleasant, and unsuspecting victim. Her first patient of the day throws a curveball that is so swift and hits hard. Maria wants to blow it off, but now that will be impossible. I am on the edge of my seat at page 27.
