More suspenseful than the book cover lead on

It's a lot more suspenseful than I thought! I assumed from the cover of the book that it was going to be about a coming-to-age story or something less dramatic so I was pleasantly surprised how mysterious and dramatic the story turned out to be. I want to read more!
