The First Look of She Wouldn’t Change a Thing captured my attention and left me wanting more.

Maria, the main character, was not likable in these opening pages, but perhaps she wasn’t meant to be. She was an older mom of two, and pregnant with her third. The demands of family and work compounded her fatigue and stress. Maria is at her breaking point. Add to her current state, a new patient claiming to be sent by G-d and warning her of the safety of her baby in connection with her secretary and friend Rachel, and you have a recipe for disaster.

These first chapters were unexpected. I am not sure how it all fits in with the provided synopsis of the novel, but I am interested to find out.
