A Promising Premise
So reading the plot summary, I admit I was a little bit confused. A woman basically goes back in time and has the opportunity to relive her life decisions, but also has the opportunity to prevent some nebulous event from impacting her husband. It honestly sounded a lot like the movie "Premonition" starring Sandra Bullock, only going further back in time and with a more linear narrative. But I think that is where the novel loses me a bit. Granted, the author does a solid job with solidifying the mundane and yet loving relationships of the main character, but the rest of the writing also falls into the same category: mundane and forgettable. Hopefully, the author manages to break free of it in later chapters and really lives up to the potential granted by the plot summary.
