I really loved that this book reminds me of Orange is the New Black, except instead of a bunch of baddies Dolly Rollins is the baddie. With all these obstacles to overcome she decided to help other woman in the prison instead of creating enemies. Unfortunately, outside the prison walls the story wasn't the same and once she is released these same women turn into her enemies.
This was a great book from Lynda De La Planta. Just like many of her other crime stories, she keeps you at the edge of your seat. I was hooked from the beginning so the book was hard to put down. I was surprised that the release date was back in the 1990's and one of her earlier works. So I did a little more research and found out one of her books Widows was made into a movie which had Viola Davis in it! Excited for her to release something new, but this book definitely did not disappoint.
